Soluble in water, featuring excellent detergency, emulsification, and lubrication properties.
In cosmetics: Serves as an O/W emulsifier.
In the textile industry: Functions as a leveling agent, dispersant, and softener.
In metal processing: Acts as a lubricant.
In pesticides: Used as an emulsifier for insecticides. Also applicable to water-soluble coatings and pickling of printed circuit boards.
