LAS is formed by neutralizing dodecylbenzene sulfonic acid with sodium hydroxide. It is a commonly used anionic surfactant with excellent detergency, widely applied in fields such as washing powder, civil liquid detergents, industrial cleaners, and agricultural emulsifiers. Powder products contain fillers like sulfates, making them unsuitable for formulations requiring high purity.
