Polybutylene Terephthalate (PBT): A high-performance engineering plastic and fiber, ranked among the top five most promising engineering plastics.
Tetrahydrofuran (THF): A key organic solvent. When polymerized, THF yields Polytetramethylene Ether Glycol (PTMEG), the primary material for manufacturing spandex (Lycra fiber), widely used in high-end sportswear, swimwear, and elastic knitwear.
γ-Butyrolactone (GBL): A downstream product of BDO, used to synthesize 2-pyrrolidone and N-methylpyrrolidone (NMP). These further derive high-value products like vinylpyrrolidone and polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP), extensively applied in pesticides, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics.
