- Span 80 is hardly soluble in water, but soluble in hot oils and organic solvents. It is a high-grade oil-loving emulsifier.
- Applications:
- Used in W/O type emulsion explosives, nylon and viscose cord fiber oil agents, providing good smoothing effect on fibers.
- Applied in emulsification for machinery, coatings, chemical industry, and explosives.
- Serves as an emulsifier in petroleum drilling weighted mud.
- Acts as an emulsifier in food and cosmetic production.
- Functions as a dispersant in paint and coating industry.
- Works as a stabilizer in titanium dioxide production.
- Serves as an insecticide, wetting agent, and emulsifier in pesticide production.
- Acts as a cosolvent in petroleum products and a rust inhibitor in rust-proof oils.
- Used as lubricant and softener in textile and leather industries.
- As a film antifogging agent, it has good initial and low-temperature antifogging properties, with dosage of 1-1.5% in PVC and 0.5-0.7% in polyolefins.
- Span S-20, Span S-80, and Span S-85 are packaged in 50Kg plastic drums.
- Span S-40 and Span S-60 are packaged in 20Kg woven bags.
- Store and transport as general chemicals.
